They have a new baby on the way! And that changes everything. Come May, these two special clients will become first-time parents. They were anxious to create a master bedroom getaway prior to baby’s arrival. And today I’m back over at Remodelaholic to reveal their new vintage-style, travel-inspired master bedroom! (And if you haven’t seen their living room, dining room, or $85 kitchen remodel reveal yet, you might want to take a peek at those too!)
I’m so lucky these two were up for knocking down some walls, and building a new one! We captured a neglected corner of their room to create this new, walk-in closet…
Then we knocked down their teeny-tiny old closet to create loads of storage with new custom cabinetry and floating shelves. And in came some vintage suitcases – oh, I love old suitcases! We used them to create a travel-inspired nightstand for Him, and this affordable tufted bench and vintage-style mirror to create a nightstand/vanity for Her. Finally, one of the major show-stoppers of this new room — that original brick! A chisel and some good ‘ol time and elbow grease brought some rustic texture to balance those charming, shabby-chic painted floors. The end result was a super functional, travel-inspired master bedroom for these soon-to-be-parents. Swing by Remodelaholic.com to see the full before & after!
